Hello Everybody!!

Here's Good News an Update on our Van Fundraiser and RecoveryFest.

We Reached our goal of $12,000 for the van! 🚐❤️ But We’re Not Quite There Yet…

We did it! Because of the incredible generosity of so many people, we reached our $12,000 goal for a new ministry van! 🎉

When I started this fundraiser in 2025, I believed $12,000 would be enough to purchase the type of van we need. But as we began looking, we discovered that the cost of a reliable van that can meet the needs of His Ministries has increased considerably.

So, while we have reached our original goal, we still need to continue raising funds to get the right van for our ministry.

Our preferred van is a 2015 or 2016 Toyota Sienna with around 150,000 miles. Some of them are an 8-seater. We do have someone looking for us for this van. Pray the van will come along.

I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to every person who donated, shared our fundraiser, prayed for us, or encouraged us along the way. Every contribution has brought us closer, and we are truly grateful. ❤️

This van isn't just transportation. It will help us continue serving youth, families, people in recovery, volunteers, and our community through the many programs of His Ministries.

We reached $12,000—and we're going to keep going until we can get the van we need. 🚐

If you would like to help us take the next step, your contribution will make a difference -And if you can't give, simply pray about our need and share this update. You can never know who may be able to help get us closer to seeing our new van!

Thank you for believing in His Ministries and helping us keep moving forward! ❤️....

Here's a reminder to never give up on your dreams, especially if you just can't get them out of your mind.
Don't stop until you see it happen. Never ever give up on a dream that won't leave your mind!
I like the last rule. You got to move. You got to get up. You got to step forward, if you expect to go somewhere, or you'll always be in the same place.

Can you help us keep the momentum going! PLEASE.. Pretty please. We are just $475 from our $12,000 goal! WOW... I am getting exciting. https://gofund.me/c4e321dd0

Hello Everybody!
You may need to sacrifice, or nothing changes. Sometimes we must give up what's standing in our way of doing what we know we need to do.

Hello Everybody!

I'm sharing with you the email I just sent out today. Please share. You can never know who may help with this need. Thank you!.....
I thank God daily my Handicap Permit was out of date on August 1, 2026. I'm Grateful that I can walk without relying on a handicap permit and I’ve not needed a walker for months! I'm now able to work in my rose garden, although, I'm taking it slow.

Much like our van, our 2005 Chrysler Mini Van has become handicapped. We’re very limited, or cautious to the distance we can drive.

UPDATE on Our GoFundMe Fundraiser for the Van:

I created the fundraiser for a new van seven months ago. Since then, we’ve had to use $645 of the donations to make repairs to our current van.

Unfortunately, the van has developed another serious problem, it’s now using coolant. We have to check the coolant level before every trip. Now, we only drive short distances, because we don’t know how long it will remain reliable.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided it doesn’t make financial sense to continue putting money into this van. We’ve been told the coolant may be leaking into the engine, which means the engine will be the next problem. While there’s a chance the problem is simpler, such as the radiator cap or belts, there are no visible coolant leaks, making it difficult to determine the cause without costly diagnostics. We did change out the first radiator, then a fan flew into that radiator, then we had to change out the belts!
I recently received an email this week from a friend in Kingsport. She invited us to attend a fellowship they have every week. I had to decline the invitation. I wanted to take all our women to the fellowship. We are unable to drive the van that far, limiting the ministry's ability to serve and minister to others.
Soon after I had to decline the invitation, I received a call from a generous donor who has pledged $10,000 toward a new ministry van! His hope is that someone will step forward to match his gift, or that many others will come alongside him, each giving what they can, to help make this much-needed van a reality.
I was deeply moved by the $10,000 gift from our friend wanting to help with our van need. I never know how God provides for our needs here at His Ministries, but He does!
We now have $10,350 to go toward a new van. My goal is to raise $12,000. We are just $1,650 away from our goal. If you would like to make a donation online toward our need for a newer van, you can make a donation at our GoFundMe page https://gofund.me/7adf0f0dd
Would you pray about giving a gift to get us closer to purchasing a van? No matter the size of your gift, they add up and Appreciated!

Maybe you can help us find a Toyota Sienna XLE Minivan 4D, seats 8, with stow-n-Go seating in the rear that gives more loading capacity. I am specific to this van because we use it for the ministry. Low mileage around 150,000 miles. The van we want will seat 8 giving us the room to carry most of our youth group and/or volunteers when we are on a mission trip or picking up or hauling donations. I believe God has us a van that will give us 10 years or longer as our Chrysler has.
Attached is a photo of the van I desire for His Ministries.
I am very Thankful! Our Prayers are being answered.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to keeping our ministry on the road and serving those who depend on us.

The Forgotten Fruit that Lives Among Us
Pawpaw Season is upon us. It's August and a good time to hunt the fruit and watch it wipen in great expectation of its unique taste. The Pawpaw is a fruit that has a unusual story. Today’s generations know little about the pawpaw and yet a generation past enjoyed them. Most people today either have forgotten about the Pawpaw fruit, or they've haven’t seen one. Not many have heard about the interesting fruit. Many believe the fruit tree is extinct. But it's not. The Pawpaw tree lives and grows in Southwest Virginia and in many other states, most times in plain sight. Years gone by, the Pawpaw fruit was known as the “poor man’s banana. During the Great Depression, market fruits became too expensive for most families to buy, so they turned to the wild Pawpaw to fill their fruit needs. I think this is a good time to begin looking for the fruit Pawpaw again.
It is highly nutritious! Today, people do not have to go into the wild to get their fruit. But it would save them lotscof mony! Depending on the weather, the Pawpaw has a short season between August, September and sometimes early October, Also, the fruit has a very short shelf life. This keeps the fruit from the grocery stores, but you may find them at farmers markets for a few weeks in September. Well, The Pawpaw has a long history. Look it up. I found these Pawpaws on a few trees I knew were growing on the side of the road. I was curious if they were bearing fruit. I will keep my eye on them.
Happy Pawpaw hunting my friends.

When I came across this funny, it hit to close to home!
I had foot surgery at the end of last year. I was down for 3 months and later had to learn to walk again, while going to therapy. I got back to work in the office and ministry in March of this year. I had to begin fundraising for a new van at the same time!
The last work on the van was the Radiator twice! Well, I may not can trade my body model in, but I can work on my body's health for its improvement and raise the funds for a newer van for the ministry. All is good, I never give up on a dream that I think of everyday. That is my health and the needs of a great ministry.
