Today is Veterans Day. Our nation has observed Veterans Day in some form since November 11, 1919--the first anniversary of the end of World War I (then it was known as Armistice Day). Veterans Day is a day to pay tribute to all American veterans who have served our country in either war or peacetime.

There are approximately 18 million veterans living in the United States, the majority of whom served during at least one war. Please join us in taking some time this today to thank a service member for the sacrifices they have made for our country.
