Food2Kids Big Spring Food2Kids Big Spring is a nonprofit organization that provides weekend food to elementary students during the school year. WHAT CAN YOU DO?

If you would like to donate, please send your donation to Food2Kids, PO Box 1641, Big Spring, Texas 79721. Food2Kids has just 1 goal: Feed hungry kids. Many kids go home on Friday and have no substantial meal to eat until Monday morning when they return to school for breakfast. Therefore, Food2Kids partners with Big Spring ISD to identify elementary-age students that may be living with food insecu

rity. We send home a weekend food sack every Friday at Goliad, Moss, Kentwood, BSI, and Marcy Elementary schools with students in need. We're hoping to get the entire community behind this effort because when we fulfill the basic needs of kids, they have the opportunity to learn better in school. You can help by donating money through Food 2 Kids PO Box 1641 Big Spring, TX 79721. Each food sack is purchased from the West Texas Food Bank at $6.00 per sack.

Today Food 2 Kids participated in the Tate's Place Back to School Bash at the Old Settlers Pavilion from 9am to 12 noon. Food 2 Kids members were Karen Carman , Linda Conway, Linda Weaver and President Jamie Walker and they gave away 500 Food 2 Kids Tote backs with our information inside of it. They also gave away 100 Food 2 Kids food Bags plus oranges . The giveaway was a great success.
