As of this morning, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH-7) has officially signed on as a cosponsor, bringing the total number of cosponsors to 41 members of Congress.

Where things stand right now:

• 41 Members of Congress have cosponsored H.R. 7033
• The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
• The Senate companion bill S. 3626 sits in the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee

What you can do right now:

• Ask if they support H.R. 7033 / S. 3626

H.R. 6938 was signed, which means the Federal Bureau of Prisons will not be impacted by a Govt. shutdown. We are funded until Sept 30th.

You may hear reports in the news about a possible shutdown next Friday, but this does not affect us—our appropriations bill has already been passed.
