Our Story:

Hello, we are the Du Toit’s, and we are a foster and adoptive family. We are Stephan and Colette, and we have four biological children and two children we adopted out of the fostering system. We operated in the foster care system for about 8 years and cared for 7 long term placements and a handful of short term placements as well.

Our MISSION:

We understand because we’ve lived it ourselves. As adoptive and foster parents, we know both the joys and challenges that come with caring for children from hard places. Through our own experience, we’ve seen that while many programs and resources focus on supporting children, there are far fewer opportunities designed to care for the parents who pour so much into their families every day.
That’s why Two Ponds Ranch exists. Our desire is to provide a peaceful place where adoptive and foster parents can step away, rest, and be refreshed—completely free of charge. By investing in their well-being, we hope to help them return home strengthened and better equipped to care for their family.
We believe that the care of all God's children is the responsibility of the church and God’s people, rather than the government. This mission is bigger than any one family or organization. Together, we want to create a place of encouragement, hope, and renewal, always pointing people to the love and grace found in Christ.

WHAT we are:

Two Ponds Ranch a CHRIST-CENTERED 501(3)c - Non-Profit Respite Ranch for foster and adoptive families located in Big Sandy Tx. We're located on 30 acres of God’s beauty where foster parents will find support and respite through overnight stays and families can be encouraged and celebrated with fun events throughout the year!
We have:
● 18 Hole Frisbee Golf
● 5- Beautiful Cabins
● Outdoor fire pit
● Playground
● Covered Basketball and Pickleball
● Stocked Fishing Ponds
● Kayaks and Paddle Boats
● Petting Zoo
● Bounce houses and Water Slides
● Foam machine
● Outdoor movie Nights
● Food Truck
● Indoor Recreation area
● And campsites coming soon

What we need:
1. Prayer.
2. To build relationships/partnerships with local, like-minded churches.
3. Financial support.

Some picture updates- we had a great event with Christian Homes & Family Services last week! So many families ❤️ (can’t post pictures of the kids ) BUT there was lots fun, smiles, laughter and fellowship ☺️
The foam machine we built was AMAZING🙌🤩

Another successful Funday with Living word and Living acts church. Great fellowship, met a ton of new faces, yummy food and lots of fun! (So much fun we forgot to take more pictures 😆)
Thank you Lord for the opportunity to welcome these families, to walk along side them, encourage them, love on them, give them an opportunity to rest and pray over them.

Preparing for tomorrow’s event, we are super excited. Im truly thankful for the help from others, Thank you Mark and Vicky Alfred for making these Amazing looking pies for the event. Thank you for the Sylvania families that are coming to help, thankful for Lauren and Mack - they have been absolutely amazing and doing so stinkin much for Two Pond Ranch. ❤️thankful for a contractor friend that prayed over me and this ministry this morning and a stranger that prayed over this ministry last week over the phone. God is so faithful, Hes been so good, even in the small details, and I’m grateful.
