Big Sandy Historical Society Museum The Big Sandy Historical Society Museum located at the corner of Railroad & Johannes Ave. Open June 1 thru Sept.1 Tuesday- Sat. 10 am to 4 pm.

The museum includes displays containing articles from the Big Sandy area. The Big Sandy Historical Society Museum was formed September 3, 1987
3,1987. Became incorporated in January of 1988. Charter
Memberships were available for $10. The first officers were
Chairman Keith Edwards, Vice Chair, John O'Malley, Secretary
Sharon Robertson, Treasurer Max Clawiter. Besides housing one
of the most compl

ete pioneer exhibits the facility is available
to host, meetings, family reunions, or any other gatherings.

I am not sure on the date or who these people are. But this is a neat picture of the beaver slides that they used to stack hay! If you look at their mules and horses, you notice the sheets! Those are fly sheets to keep the nasty bugs off of the animals while they worked! Pretty neat!
