Nav-Meds

Recruits from Unit 70 completing their Nav-Med exercises this week. Nav-Meds test the squads on their navigation, problem solving, lashing, mechanical advantage, and medical skills, culminating with the Night Nav-Med conducted by platoon.

3-Hour Hike

Unit 70 completed their 3-Hour Hike on Thursday. The 3-Hour Hike is the Unit’s first major hike with multiday packs, and an opportunity for the men to continue learning how to load a backpack effectively. Hiking is an integral part of Basic Training, culminating in the 24 hour, 55 mile long Endurance Hike.
