Bundle up, Bulldogs! Your safety continues to be our top priority. Campus will reopen at noon on Wednesday as temperatures rise. Several essential campus buildings will remain available for you earlier in the day.

The Rock Café will open at 7 a.m., the David L. Eisler Center, FLITE, the Quad Café, and the Student Recreation Center will be open at 8 a.m. The Athletic Complex will open at 9 a.m.

The Big Rapids campus shuttle will run on a regular schedule, but The Rapid will delay pick-up in Grand Rapids until 9:12 a.m.

Temperatures are rising but it will still be very cold. Please remember to be safe and take precautions when heading out. People exposed to extreme cold are susceptible to frostbite and can succumb to hypothermia in a matter of minutes. Areas most prone to frostbite are uncovered skin and the extremities, such as hands and feet. Hypothermia occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce it.

Stay warm and stay safe. Please make smart decisions regarding your personal safety.

The Big Rapids and Grand Rapids campuses are closed on Tuesday because of the bitter cold, but several essential campus buildings will remain available for you. Check your email for information about hours for the David L. Eisler Center, Student Recreation Center, The Quad Café, The Rock Café, FLITE, and the Sports Complex.

The Big Rapids campus shuttle will run on a regular schedule, but The Rapid will not be in operation.

Stay tuned for information about whether the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration activities can be rescheduled.
