A lot of kittens born outside are becoming mobile and visible in our community right now. Please keep them with their mom as she is the best caretaker. Once the kittens are 8-10 weeks old, they can be fixed! If the kittens are abandoned or sick, the shelter is an option. However, the shelter fills up fast this time of year and foster volunteers are busy. Please consider fostering for the shelter if you find kittens in need. It gives them a head start in life and they will be vaccinated and fixed before going home. Socialization and health outcomes are also much better if kittens grow up in foster homes 🧡
