Bishop Elementary School

In collaboration with Bishop Indian Education Center and the Bishop Elementary Liaisons, AkaMya is proud to again host the annual "STRUT YOUR STUFF" Celebration.
This event gives students the opportunity to share their traditional/pow wow song and dance to their elementary school peers and staff before the summer season begins! All students are encouraged to bring their regalia and join in!

Big Pine School staff, students and community come together to celebrate Alice Piper with speeches, recognition and sharing of culture together in front of the school Alice fought to attend in 1924, paving the way for equitable education and civil rights movements throughout the country.

Join us as we celebrate the release of the "Alice Piper Speaks Up" book on Alice Piper Day at the Cultural Center! Please RSVP for the dinner.
