Another wonderful year at the Antelope Valley Indian Museum, Native American Celebration!
Thank you to all the volunteers, groups, artists vendors, community and families that make this event possible.
This year was one of introspection and reflection as memories of the years past, emembering loved ones that are no longer here, and those lives that lead us all in so many directions as the journey of life goes on. It truly fills me with gratitude for those that are able to be present, join in, contribute and share.
Life is lived with each passing day and experience, and I am thankful and grateful to still be here, dancing, singing, sharing, and seeing my friends and family.
Much love and respect to Cydnee Ashmore and her family for being the heart and soul of this event, we are there for you all. I will ever be grateful for each and every one of you and look forward to our next times sharing together!

Bridgeport community!
Our next Social Dance Pow Wow Potluck will be this coming Monday 10/19/2026!

Enjoy free food (local fresh pizza is being donated) visit, learn, take part in some social dance and practice pow wow. This is our effort to expand cultural activities to our Mono County communities with a new location each month. Liking forward to seeing the Bridgeport people!

Happy California Indian/Native American Day 2026!
Enjoy your time celebrating in your communities and with families. Our group artists are celebrating on multiple fronts today, and wish everyone safe travels and great events.
Our artist Madison Dusseau helped open up the Mammoth Trail Fest with the land acknowledgement and words and we are happy to share free registration to our local tribal families for the annual Woollyy 1k Fun Run at Mammoth Village. Scan the QR Code on the flyer.
Director Sage Andrew Romero is at the Colorado River Indian Tribe Annual NatiVision Film Festival, screening and sharing his animation, Kalle Monster from the Sea, a collaboration with the Amah Mutsun people!
Or other artists are enjoying our local Pabanamanina Pow Wow in Bishop and some are at other events in the state!

Thank you again Inyo Council for the Arts for having Akamya Culture Group kick off Sunday morning with our cultural presentation.
Our crew had a great time sharing onstage and getting the people moving. We are looking forward to the next time.
