❄️ Snowmobile Safety Is Incredibly Important! ❄️
This weekend, our club proudly hosted and certified a full class of new riders—and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! With flurries in the air and a fresh blanket of snow on the ground, students completed the classroom training portion of the course, performed pre-ride safety checks, and successfully navigated the riding course.
We would like to extend a sincere thank-you to all of the volunteers and instructors who made this event possible. Your time, dedication, and commitment to rider safety are truly appreciated.
A special thank-you goes out to our local Sheriff’s Office and the DNR, alongside Michael Bond, for leading this effort to educate riders—young and old—on the laws, responsibilities, and values required to keep this sport safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Snowmobilers: With all this glorious snow and trails opening and grooming starting early this season, please remember to use caution. There is still thin ice in places, and frost may not be deep in swamps and low areas.
Use extreme caution around groomers and always assume they cannot see you.
Please stay on marked trails and respect our landowners. Let’s keep everyone safe and protect access for the season!

As we approach the anticipated opening of snowmobile trails in Sherburne County, pending a couple more inches of snow, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to all volunteers who have worked diligently to mow, clear, and post signs for our snowmobile trails. Within the Big Lake Sno-Cruisers Club, we conservatively estimate that over 250 volunteer hours have been devoted to preparing our trail system. Thank you all for your time and dedication to this sport and our club, making it safe and enjoyable for everyone.
