Our Own Family Camp Won't you join us, and help support our camp for Families with members with Down syndrome?

We started in 2009 when Dave and Marissa Little approached the YMCA of Greater Long Beach who runs Camp Oakes, in Big Bear CA to ask them if they would host a camp SPECIFICALLY for families who have members with Ds. Marissa had been attending Camp Oakes since kindergarten, and wanted the warm memories of canoeing, horseback riding, archery, and much more to be in the minds of the amazing families

she and Dave had met along their journey with their daughter Sadie who has Down syndrome. The camp has blossomed, with new families coming every year, and now has a scholarship fund to get families to camp regardless of their financial situation up to camp!!
