Such a cool moment at our meeting last night!

Care For Big Bear presented a matching donation to our BBHS Wrestling Team for their Polar Plunge efforts supporting Special Olympics—bringing their total impact even further.

We love being able to help connect our teams with opportunities like this and build partnerships that support our student athletes.
It was incredible to see such a great turnout tonight, including so many of our members and new families getting involved. We especially loved seeing our incoming freshman parents there, too.

Feeling really grateful for this community and excited for what we’re building together.

BBHS Sports Physical Night is Here!

All incoming 9th-grade students and current BBHS athletes are encouraged to attend to complete their required physical for the 2026–2027 school year.

Friday, May 29th
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
BBHS Gymnasium
$25 per athlete (cash, check, or Venmo)

👉 Physicals are required to participate in sports—don’t miss this opportunity to get cleared before the season!

Big Bear is hurting today.

We mourn the loss of Coach Dave Griffiths—a husband, father, teacher, coach, mentor, and friend whose impact reached far beyond any one classroom or field. His dedication to our students, athletes, and school community will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and especially the students and athletes whose lives he shaped through leadership, discipline, and care.

This community is built on connection, and in moments like this, we come together—to grieve, to support one another, and to honor a legacy that will live on at Big Bear High School.
