Our mission is to serve as God's hands when needs arise in our region. GHAW is operated solely from community donations which limits what is available on any given day. You can donate items such as personal hygiene items, household items, furniture, unexpired non-perishable food items and by giving monetary support in any amount. At this time, we support Gallia, Jackson, Meigs and Vinton Counties
in Ohio as well as Mason County, West Virginia. In the past, we have offered assistance to fire and flood victims, elders who have faced abuse, domestic violence survivors, those affected by homelessness and individuals who have been faced with job loss. We exist to serve others in times of need, however, we will not become a recurring source of assistance or handouts. We are a hand up when someone needs a boost, not a permanent solution. What is required of those seeking assistance from us? You must first complete an application and provide details regarding your situation along with personal information, a driver's license or other form of valid ID to prove residency in one of the GHAW service counties. All applications will be reviewed and personally vetted by GHAW Board Members, with appropriate research to confirm validity of the claim. All cases are submitted to God through prayer. The GHAW organization reserves the right to deny any claim, for any reason.
