We are so happy to have you meet Cathy, as Ms. Atlantic!

“Hi everyone! My name is Cathy and I’m proud to be representing Ms. Atlantic!

If you had told me years ago that I’d be competing in a beauty pageant at 65, I would have laughed! I guess life has a funny way of surprising us and it just goes to show you’re never too old to try something new.

I spent most of my career with the U.S. Postal Service, so if you think you’ve been waiting a long time for something… just think-I waited 65 years to be in a pageant!! I spent years making sure the mail got where it needed to go. Now I’m just trying to make sure I get to the right spot on stage!

I've been part of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary since I was 32. Madam President for at least 25 years. I have a wonderful group of Officers who go above and beyond and Lady Auxiliary members who will do anything asked of them! I'm proud to serve with the Veterans and Sons of Amvets Post #1

I’m taking part in the Maine Golden Beauty Pageant because I believe our older adults deserve to be treated with respect and want to support the work of those who believe the same. I’m honored to be part of an event that supports the York County Elder Abuse Task Force and the important work they do every day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the pageant, encouraged the contestants, shared our posts, bought tickets or cheered us on. Your kindness and enthusiasm mean so much to all of us and together we’re helping make a real difference for Maine’s older adults. I hope to see you on pageant day!”

🇺🇸 What an incredible Membership Appreciation Day! 🇺🇸
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special. We were proud to install our new officers, honor our veterans with a respectful retirement of worn American flags, and enjoy another fantastic day together.
A big shout-out to Two Drunk Guys for the awesome live music that kept the fun going all afternoon! 🎶
And once again, our amazing kitchen team that pulled off an incredible spread of food. Your hard work and dedication never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do.
