Good Morning, Tuesday March 3rd. The rink is open for those who have skates and the lodge will be open from 3:30-8:00. Today will be our last day for the season. We want to thank all of you for your support and we hope you got to enjoy some great skating this year. We want to thank our snow clearing team Stephen Audie and Marc StOurs who had a challenging season. We also want to thank our neighbor Dickie Nadeau who came out with his own 4 wheeler to help us out. We want to thank our volunteers from the community who helped run concessions as well as the students from UNE. Without this support we would not have been able to open the amount of days we were. So come on out and enjoy our last day of skating and everything in the concessions is $1.00 each while supplies last.

Good Evening,
Tomorrow will be our last opening for the season. We hope everyone had a chance to get out here and enjoy some skating. I have attached a photo of our lost and found bench. After tomorrow these items will be delivered to goodwill. Please take a look and come in tomorrow between 3:30-8:00 to pick them up.

Good Morning, Sunday March 1st. Unfortunately we will not be open today as the ice melt from yesterday did not freeze completely. Please remain off the ice until further notice. We want to thank you in advance for your patience an understanding.

Happy Saturday everybody. We are closed today due to warm temperatures. Stay tuned for conditions and availability for Sunday. We are hoping to open for our last two final days Monday and Tuesday as the conditions will be really cold. Thank you again for all your support.

Good Morning, Thursday February 19th. The rink is open and the Lodge will be open from 11:00-8:00 today. Tomorrow Friday February 20th we will be open same time but will close early when the snow starts. Come on out and enjoy todays weather.

Community HELP

While we pause skating at the rink as the result of warm temps. We are reaching out to the public for support. We are specifically addressing parents who drop their kids off to skate for the day or evening. We work year round as volunteers so we can provide a place for all kids and families to have a free place to skate. With school vacation upon us, in the last two days and evenings we are seeing a great amount of kids coming down and enjoying the rink. Unfortunately we are experiencing unacceptable language and fights with middle school student's as well as rowdiness. This has caused families with young children to leave earlier than planned. We are asking parents to remind their middle school age kids to be respectful and appreciative of what this rink has to offer. There is zero tolerance for this behavior therefore we will ask these kids to leave. Our volunteers are not there to break up fights in the lodge between minors. Please understand we get to know these kids on daily basis and the majority conduct themselves properly. The Friends of West Brook Skating wants to thank you for your attention to this issue. We want to provide a fun safe atmosphere for all.
