Pepperell Paranormal seeks haunted areas in the Biddeford and S**o area where ticket sales can benefit a nonprofit organization or other worthy cause. The group once held tours in the Pepprell Mills but they were canceled nearly as soon as they started because of development in the mills. They were told by mill owners that "ghosts were bad for business." Members are George “Pete” Lamontagne and Ji
mmy Lantagne, who developed a love for the paranormal while they worked for the Pepperell Mills in downtown Biddeford. Brian Keely, a downtown Biddeford restaurant owner and his wife, Molly
Lovell-Keely, a local newspaper editor, dabble in ghost hunting and
will accompany Pete and Jimmy on the tours. Brian is able to see and feel spirits and, along with the team, has captured evidence at local mills through photographs and voice recordings, which are on this page. Tour goers are encouraged to bring digital cameras and voice recorders
to try their hand at ghost hunting. They will also be able to use the
group’s laser grid, which helps identify shadows or images present
in dark areas, and a laser temperature gauge. In addition,
participants can use two spirit boxes, which scan radio airways to
to detect messages from the beyond. The group also has an EMF detector and finally, participants can use the group's K2 meter, which detects a sudden increase in the electro-magnetic field that would indicate the presence of spirits. Tour venues are being sought. To learn more, send a message via Facebook, email [email protected] or leave a message at 632-7475.
