🌲 Outdoors Theme! 🌲

Our dens are getting ready to hike at Three Creeks Metro Park later this month! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

To prep, our Scouts spent this week’s den meeting learning outdoor skills through fun games and activities. Here’s a peek at some of the things our dens covered:

✅ Practiced the Cub Scout Six Essentials (one den even did a relay race!)
📢 Learned S.A.W. (Stay – Answer – Whistle) with a game of Reverse Hide and Seek
🐾 Matched domestic vs. wild animals and talked about how to stay safe around them
🌳 Made pinecone bird feeders 🥜🐦 while learning what trees provide
🤝 Used the buddy system on activities and why it matters on the trail
🩹 Practiced first aid for common hiking injuries
☀️🌧 Talked about how to check the weather and what clothes/shoes are right for a hike

Our Scouts had a blast while building the skills they’ll use on the trail. Can’t wait to see everyone out at Three Creeks for our hike! 🌟

Our Scouts had a fun-filled evening at their second den meeting! Activities included learning about leadership as a denner (and even leading their den in a game), playing games to explore the Scout Oath and Scout Law, and racing in relays to practice the Cub Scout sign, salute, and handshake.

We also got a sneak peek with some popcorn tasting ahead of our upcoming fundraiser 🍿, and Scouts enjoyed playground time and scatter tag to burn off extra energy.

Great job, Scouts! 🐾✨ Families are always welcome to join us anytime and be part of the adventure! Next month’s theme will be Outdoors! 🌲☀️

Our Scouts kicked off the year with a great Bobcat den meeting! We started by recognizing them for their summer achievements, then broke into dens and got right into the fun. Dens each did their own activities such as working together on Scout Oath and Scout Law puzzles, getting to know each other making a spider web of yarn, or creating a den flag to show their spirit.

The meeting wrapped up with a big, energetic game of scatter tag, leaving everyone smiling and ready for the adventures ahead in Cub Scouting!

🚤 Boats & Floats Success! 🌊🍦

What a night! Our Cub Scouts took to the “high seas” for our annual Boats and Floats Raingutter Regatta. The creativity was off the charts—sails of every color, boats of every design, and plenty of Scout spirit as racers huffed, puffed, and propelled their vessels to victory.

Every race was full of cheering, laughs, and friendly competition—and of course, plenty of root beer floats to cool off afterward. 🥤🍨

A huge thank you to our leaders, parents, and Scouts who made it a fun, memorable evening. Events like this are what make Pack 3220 a place where character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership grow—one fun activity at a time.

🌳Pack 3220 Climbs High at ZipZone Adventure Park!🌳

Our Scouts and families took to the treetops at ZipZone Adventure Park, conquering courses from beginner to advanced.

💛 Sunflower (yellow – easiest) – a great course for first-timers.
💚 Mossy Ridge & Flint Run (green – intermediate) – each with two ziplines and plenty of challenges.
💙 Waterfall (blue – advanced) – tackled by a few Scouts ready to push themselves even higher.

The only one left untouched? 🖤 Hawks Canyon (black – expert). No Scouts tried it this time… but several are already eyeing it for next year!

With over 60 challenge elements, ziplines on every course, and a safety system keeping everyone clipped in, it was a day full of adventure, grit, and teamwork.

Big thanks to ZipZone for hosting us—and to our Scouts for showing that character, personal fitness, citizenship, and leadership can all happen up in the air! 🌲💪

🌟 STEM Camp 2025! 🌟

What a week! Our Scouts explored science, tech, engineering, and nature in nonstop hands-on fun at STEM Camp! From building terrariums and launching Raingutter Regatta boats to experimenting with airfoils and learning about invasive species, each day was packed with curiosity and creativity. 🧪🌱⚙️

They cooled off in the pool, got active with archery and GaGa ball, tested their aim on the BB range, and even made robot hands and exploded sticks (safely, of course!). 🤖🎯💥

A highlight? Thursday’s big trip to COSI, where Scouts dove into even more discovery with hands-on exhibits and live science in action. 🔬🌍

Thanks to all the amazing staff, volunteers, and Scouts who made this week unforgettable. The future looks bright—and full of experiments!

🚴‍♂️🔥 Pack Bike Ride! 🔥🚴‍♀️

Our Scouts braved the heat and crushed a 5-mile ride on the Alum Creek Trail! We started at Wolfe Park, pedaled all the way past Ohio Dominican University, and still had energy left for tag in the park. 💨

Everyone rode strong, stayed hydrated, and kept the Scouting spirit high. Shoutout to our parents/support crew for keeping us rolling safely. 🙌

We wrapped up the evening with Drumsticks. No photos of that part because we were too busy enjoying every bite. 🍦😄
