🎉 Congratulations to the Ellie Fund, a 2026 Women’s Fund of Essex County grantee!

A breast cancer diagnosis affects far more than a patient’s health. The practical challenges of treatment—from transportation and childcare to groceries and household responsibilities—can add enormous stress during an already difficult time.

Our grant will support Ellie Fund’s 🩷 Equitable Pathways to Breast Cancer Care 🩷 program, helping expand access to essential non-medical support for women facing breast cancer in Essex County. The need is growing:

✔️ 171 Essex County patients have received direct services from Ellie Fund through August of this year.

✔️ More than $217,000 in essential support has already been provided this year.

✔️ Ellie Fund anticipates serving more than 250 Essex County women in 2026, up from 213 in 2025.

For two consecutive years, Essex County has been Ellie Fund’s second-largest county in both patients served and financial investment.

Through strong local partnerships including Greater Lawrence Family Health Center and Merrimack Health Lawrence Hospital, Ellie Fund is continuing to expand its reach and connect more women with the support they need.

At The Women’s Fund, we’re proud to invest in programs that help reduce stress, remove barriers to treatment, and allow women to focus more fully on healing.

Congratulations to Love Your Magic, a 2026 Women’s Fund of Essex County grantee!

Girls deserve spaces where they can care for their well-being, build confidence, and learn to advocate for themselves.

With support from The Women’s Fund, Love Your Magic will bring its "Be Well Retreats" to girls in Lynn and Lawrence. These eight-week experiences are designed to nurture mental health and wellness through yoga, meditation, healing circles, dance, and community connection. Created especially to support Black and Brown girls as they navigate adolescence, the retreats offer a welcoming environment where participants can explore self-love, self-care and the tools that help them feel grounded and empowered.

We are honored to invest in programs that affirm girls’ voices and help them recognize their own strength.

Congratulations, Love Your Magic! Thank you for creating spaces where girls can grow, heal and thrive.💙🧡💛
