Ecology, Economy, and the Family of God
Sunday, January 10 at First Baptist Church in Beverly (downstairs in the chapel)

This 3-part series explores the relationships between Nature, money, and the religion of Jesus (not to be confused with the religion about him).

Managing an organic farm, Ben Zoba has witnessed the beauty of Nature’s design, but he has experienced first-hand the great challenge of both caring for soil while remaining profitable in the modern economic climate. Similarly, he knows of the transformative power of the religion of Jesus, and he has been forming a strategy as to how believers might apply this power to improving our social institutions. Four years ago, when First Baptist Church’s Social Concerns committee chose to focus on unemployment as our concern, he initiated an in-depth study of the forces contributing to unemployment, specifically the method by which money is created and distributed.

In this series Ben hopes to synthesize his experiences related to ecology, economy, and religion in an effort to organize and inspire positive change. Each session is designed to be of value on its own, but the 3 sessions will play off of each other. Please come and bring an active mind, an open heart, and anyone interested in such topics.
