Anonymous was more or less founded or better developed out of 4Chan, an anonymously chat forum, against Scientology once, Anonymous is latest since the completely CIA/MOSSAD staged "Arab Spring" infiltrated by agents from several services and interests, political as well as religious, especially American Anonymous, the idea with the mask and a funny name is quite easy to copy but the Idea of worki
ng worldwide together, in autonomous groups connected by internet and common goals, without hierarchical management structure and no boss, is bigger than that, many of the 'Kid Ddos army' which the original collective once wanted and made and left then on their own, abuse Anonymous to get 'famous' or to 'be somebody", but the Idea is also bigger than that; the Guy Fawkes mask was chosen, for public appearances in marches and rallies, because it was cheap available that days, a Batman mask was in consideration too; most of the original collective had to leave Facebook meanwhile because of Facebook's real name politics and they risked too much before to being able to disguise theirself, but many are still active in IRC chats and elsewhere; just don't trust anybody only because of the mask and a funny name . . .
