Join us for outreach! We always go over our guidelines, and if you’re new we’ll make sure you’re in a group with experienced volunteers - all you need to do is show up! We meet in the park near Shatto Recreation Center* at 12pm, see you there!
*Our usual meeting location is unavailable this week so we will instead be meeting at the park near Shatto Recreation Center. There may not be enough parking space in the lot, but the surrounding streets may have space.

We always get asked what people can do in their communities to help their unhoused neighbors and one of our suggestions is to look into starting a regularly scheduled Power Up 🔋⚡️🔌 station!

We have a mobile battery with ports and set up at a local park. We charge up our unhoused neighbor's batteries, phones, medical equipment, and anything else that needs charging.

Our unhoused neighbors do not have regular access to charging locations, and as we all know, phones are our lifelines. They are often waiting to hear back from jobs, shelters, housing wait lists, doctors, etc.

The mission for our Power Ups 🔋⚡️🔌 is making friends, and keeping our neighbors connected. Some folks stay and chat and some get tasks done knowing they're coming back to a charged up phone. At the end of the day every little bit of kindness helps. 💜❤️

(Shout out to for the delicious donuts. Everyone loved them. ❤️)

We lost a beloved community member and his partner needs help to pay for funeral costs. One of our volunteers spent months helping her claim her remains. Her spot is scheduled to be swept the day after the funeral and the city refuses to reschedule. If you can help, please do. gofund.me/436b76a18. For those that knew and cared about Armando, planning these services has been a labor of love, community, and compassion. Everything helps.
