s to pay. The dues paid by Alumni Association members help provide the U of M Club of Los Angeles with the financial resources, communication tools and support that local club volunteer alumni need to host club events.

Michigan alumni recently gathered at Grand Casino Bakery & Café for another fantastic Wolverine Wednesday! Wolverines enjoyed authentic Argentine empanadas, traditional cookies and pastries, and great company while watching World Cup action. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, expand their networks, and share Michigan memories with fellow Wolverines.

Attendees also got an exclusive first look at our new Hail LA club t-shirts, available in person for a $10 donation to support the U-M Club of LA Scholarship Fund. We also debuted our new Wolverine Wednesday Punch Cards, giving attendees a fun way to track their participation and earn rewards for showing up throughout the year!

The U of M Club of LA recently hosted alumni, friends, and family for a unique evening at Diavolo: Architecture in Motion’s studio near Downtown Los Angeles. Guests experienced ESCAPE, an immersive performance featuring the company’s signature blend of dance, athleticism, and transforming architectural structures.

The evening included an exclusive pre-show reception where alumni connected with fellow Wolverines, as well as a special opportunity to meet U-M alum Claire Schick ('24) and interact with Diavolo’s iconic performance structures after the show.

Thank you to Diavolo: Architecture in Motion for hosting our group and to everyone who attended and made the evening such a memorable success!

A group of Michigan alumni recently gathered in Redondo Beach to host a networking dinner for 12 current Michigan student-athletes visiting Los Angeles through the U-M Graham Family Athletics Career Center (GFACC) Career Venture Program.

The GFACC provides student-athletes with transformative career development experiences through programs like Career Ventures, which allow students to visit companies, build professional networks, and explore career opportunities.

The dinner gave alumni and student-athletes the chance to connect through meaningful one-on-one conversations about career paths, networking, and the strength of the Michigan alumni community. Alumni shared their experiences and advice while highlighting the lifelong value and opportunities that come with a University of Michigan degree.

On Saturday, we held the second of our two Michigan Community Service Month events — this event was held in partnership with AHEAD With Horses, an organization devoted to improving the quality of life for disabled, disadvantaged, and special needs children through equine therapy. We were honored to support their mission and contribute to the impactful work they do.

Our volunteers also enjoyed two special bonuses. Each participant received one of our newly designed alumni T-shirts — and we still have plenty available, so be sure to sign up for upcoming events to claim yours!

After volunteering, many of us gathered at the nearby Wat Thai Temple to continue getting to know one another while enjoying an incredible variety of authentic Thai food from their weekly pop-up food event.

It was a wonderful day of service, community, and Michigan spirit all around. We are fortunate to share such strong University of Michigan connections, and it is especially gratifying to see so many alumni recognize the importance of giving back to the community. Thank you to our incredible volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to making the day so meaningful.

Last week’s inaugural Wolverine Wednesday was a huge success! Alumni — including the newest Wolverines from the Class of 2026 — came together for an evening of networking, reconnecting, and sharing Michigan memories. Guests also enjoyed a special Stella Artois promotion, taking home custom engraved chalices to commemorate the evening. Alumni in attendance were also gifted our brand-new club t-shirts!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped kick off this new monthly networking series! We'd love to see even more alumni at our next event! Be sure to keep an eye on our e-newsletter for future Wolverine Wednesday locations and promotions.

Michigan alumni recently came together for a networking happy hour in Pasadena. The event brought together a vibrant crowd for an evening of connection and school spirit, and resulted in significant contributions to the scholarship fund.

A major highlight of the night was the silent auction, which featured an impressive array of unique Michigan-themed items and local experiences, sparking friendly competition among attendees. Between the lively atmosphere and the successful fundraising efforts, it was a standout gathering that perfectly showcased the strength of the U-M community in Southern California. A huge thanks to our generous hosts and all of the attendees!

A dozen Wolverines took to the courts at California SMASH on Sunday for an afternoon of pickleball, camaraderie, and plenty of maize-and-blue spirit. Players of all skill levels jumped into the action, rallying through fast-paced games, friendly competition, and lots of laughs along the way. Thanks to all the Michigan alumni who showed up to d**k!

From tip-off to title dreams, the Maize & Blue showed OUT 💙💛 Thanks to everyone who made our basketball game watches feel like Crisler West—National Championship energy all the way! 🏀 Hail to the watch party champions! Let’s run it back for the number one team in the country, Michigan Hockey, as they go for another natty at the Frozen Four 🏒❄️ Join Michigan Alumni at Q's (Westside, 21+) and Baja Sharkeez (Hermosa Beach) this Thursday at 5:30pm PT for the semifinal, and (hopefully) this Saturday at 5:30pm PT for the final! Get loud, and Go Blue!
