EVERY STEP COUNTS! Yours can be the first toward a healthy new habit during the 31st Walk for Healthy Living. Join The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated tomorrow September 26th for the Challenge!

👟 Walk on your own or with family, friends, or neighbors. Aim for 5,000–10,000 steps — or set a goal that works for you.

Why walk? Regular brisk walking can support your heart health, lift your mood, improve sleep, and help keep bones and muscles healthy. A little movement is a great place to start!

- Share a walking photo and encourage a friend to take the challenge.

Seizing September for Renewed Sisterhood! 🫂 The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated gathered for our September General Meeting with friendship at the forefront.

Our members reconnected through our Friendship First activity featuring friendship passports, celebrated excellence within our chapter, reflected on highlights from our recent retreat, and looked ahead to the service, programming and fellowship that will shape the months to come.

Every registration represents a voice empowered to participate, that's why we Link Up The Vote! 🗳️ In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, the Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated joined the Los Angeles (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the Los Angeles NAACP Youth Council, Special Needs Network, and the Alpha Gamma Omega and Mu Lambda Omega Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for a collaborative day of voter registration, education and engagement.

Together, we have engaged more than 100 community members and completed 19 registrations and preregistrations, including 8 eligible youth preregistered to vote. Led by our National Trends and Services Facet, this effort is part of our continued commitment to creating informed voters, encouraging civic participation and making measurable impact in the communities we serve.

Next, National Trends and Services turns its focus to Linkages to Life Donor Sabbath Weekend. Join us Sunday, November 15, from 12–4 p.m. at the Biddy Mason Community Wellness Center for our blood drive and organ, eye and tissue donation awareness event in partnership with LifeStream Blood Bank and OneLegacy! Sweet Summer Memories 💚 A look back on how The Beverly Hills West (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated recently celebrated excellence, strengthened friendship, and enjoyed fellowship.

🏆 We closed out the season by honoring three remarkable members whose leadership and longevity exemplify our chapter’s legacy of excellence. At our Celebrating Excellence & Longevity event at the California African American Museum, we proudly celebrated La-Doris McClaney, Charter and Active Platinum Member and recipient of the Presidential Legacy Award from the 18th National President of The Links, Incorporated; Karen Cole, two-term Western Area Director; and Evelyn Duckett, our newest Platinum Active Member, recognizing more than 30 years of service. The celebration was made even more meaningful with a docent-led tour of “A New Song: Langston Hughes in the West,” connecting an afternoon of recognition with the history, culture and legacy that continue to inspire us..

💻Our Executive Board gathered for its Retreat, focusing on intentional planning for the year ahead. Our leaders participated in training focused on artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence and other new tools to strengthen how we lead, communicate and serve.

🏖️ And what better way to close out summer than by the sea? Our Summer Bash at Paradise Cove brought members, family and friends together for a beautiful day in Malibu, complete with our first-ever Family Linkages Cookie Bake-Off!
