Thank you for your participation at the 9th Annual Vahagn Setian B2V Memorial Run/Walk on Sunday, December 1nd. Your presence and generosity made it a resounding success, which helps us continue our work: educating public – especially our youth – about the dangers of impaired or distracted driving. Moreover, helping them build healthy & productive lives – one choice at a time. These programs are designed to promote the social and personal values that Vahagn held so dear.

As before, our Beverly Hills community came together to enliven the proceedings: City officials; runners from the Beverly Hills Police and Fire Departments; students; teachers; generous corporate and private sponsors and residents.

Beverly Hills Rocker Steve Cooke, a multi-award winning singer-songwriter, performed an intimate “unledded” acoustic Led Zeppelin hits with Grammy Nominated, award winning producer & performer Frank DeVille. The duo performed “Going to California”, “Stairway to Heaven”, “The Rain Song” and more. Cooke has performed for HRH Prince of Wales and his son. DeVille has garnered top ten hits on the Billboard music charts.
During the Awards Ceremony the winners in each category received valuable prizes and much-deserved applause. The prizes were donated by Beverly Hills Hotel, Petrossian Caviar of Paris, Leon’s of Beverly Hills, Stefano Ricci, Carroll Custom Beverly Hills, Designer Aida Ley and Ilene Knebel (kindness box from Ellen DeGeneres).

We remain humbled by the outpouring of kindness and affection you all have shown for our cause. Allow me to say once again how deeply we appreciate your generosity and humanity.

Gratefully yours,
Karén Setian

As before, our Beverly Hills community came together to enliven the proceedings: City officials; runners from the Beverly Hills Police and Fire Departments; students; teachers; generous corporate and private sponsors and residents. Everyone’s enthusiasm was infectious, and a holiday atmosphere prevailed. The jazz quartet provided a cheery sound track for the festivities, including the prize ceremony, in which the winners received valuable awards and much-deserved applause. This year we also had Beverly Hills rocker Steve Cooke who performed an intimate classical version of Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, with guitarist Kenton Youngstrom, a soloist for the LA Chamber Orchestra and the LA Jewish Symphony.

Sunday, December 2nd 2018 8th Annual Vahagn Setian B2V Memorial Run/Walk

Please join us, bring your whole family, your friends, and invite guests. With your support we can continue Foundation’s important work.

Members of the Beverly Hills Police Department’s Baker to Vegas Relay Team and the Vahagn Setian Charitable Foundation (VSCF) would like to invite you to participate in the 8th Annual Vahagn Setian Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, December 2nd. This event commemorates the young life of a wonderful community member that was tragically cut short by a drunk driver in December of 2006. 5K Run/Walk symbolizes healthy life choices, ethical decision-making and a strong relationship between the Beverly Hills Police Department and our local community. The participation is free; donations are very welcome and much needed.

Registration begins at 7:30AM in the lower section of the Police Department’s outdoor boat court, located adjacent to the parking structure off of Rexford Dr., south of N. Santa Monica Blvd. The first two hours are free. The run will take place at 8:30 AM at the Northeast corner of Rexford Dr. and N. Santa Monica Blvd.
The run consists of a 5K course, professionally managed by “Pacific Coast Race Timing” Company and organized and monitored by a race team committee with exceptional prizes for the winners of each division donated by our generous sponsors such as Beverly Hills Hotel, Leon’s Fine Jewelry of Beverly Hills, Stefano Ricci, Porsche Design, Petrossian Caviar of Paris, Carrol & Co and many more. This makes the run very competitive. After the 5K Run/Walk, you can enjoy soothing tunes from a Live Jazz Band and be present at the awards ceremony.

This event reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to a number of positive social values. Together with our Police, City and School system we will:
Celebrate the life of a young Beverly Hills resident of great potential, who brought much joy to many hearts. We owe it to our residents to remember such people whom our community has lost.
Reinforces our commitment to wise decision-making; and our opposition to unsafe behavior such as drunk driving, or distractions such as texting while driving.
Brings residents, local businesses and police together in a display of solidarity for the social values that we appreciate and respect in Beverly Hills.
Promote teamwork, physical fitness, and selflessness.

All donations go directly to the Vahagn Setian Charitable Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is also classified as a public charity 509(a)(1). All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
