What a great idea 👏

In New York, a restaurant called Enoteca Maria follows a different approach to cooking by inviting grandmothers from around the world to run the kitchen. Instead of relying on a fixed team of trained chefs, the restaurant rotates home cooks, often referred to as “nonnas,” who prepare dishes based on their own cultural traditions and personal recipes. The concept was created to preserve authentic home cooking and give a platform to recipes that are usually passed down within families rather than taught in professional kitchens.

Each visiting grandmother brings her own menu, shaped by her background, ingredients, and cooking style. This creates a constantly changing dining experience where guests can try meals from different countries, all made using traditional methods.

Thank you Makhani Family for hosting Visionary Women’s Women and Capital. This event was designed to provide women an overview to understand basic principles to empower as they navigate their own personal and professional financial goals.

My key takeaways from the evening included preparing for unforeseen events as death and divorce to avoid being blindsided and financially abused:
✅ insure you have at least 1 credit card in your own name - and that all your credit cards are not simply as an authorized user
✅ have a list of all your accounts and assets
✅ insure your assets/accounts are in a LLC or trust
✅ attend, remain engaged and ask questions at financial meetings - don’t rely on your partner or others
✅ insure you know your parents accounts and assets in case there is unexpected event, you are prepared to oversee their affairs
✅ prenuptial agreement is not a dirty word as all couples who marry have one whether they know it or not
if a prenuptial agreement is not executed, the default prenuptial agreement is the one written by the government
✅ donor advise funds DAFs are convenient vehicles to donate to organizations

HISTORY MADE 🚀👩‍🚀🌕 Astronaut Christina Koch just became the first woman to venture into deep space and fly by the moon while on NASA’s Artemis II mission 💫

Koch was assigned the prestigious role of Mission Specialist I on the Artemis II due to her extensive and record-breaking experience. In 2019, Koch served as a flight engineer on the International Space Station for 328 consecutive days, the longest single spaceflight completed by a woman. During her stay, she was also part of NASA’s first all-woman spacewalk 🪐

The naming behind the Artemis program is also a subtle nod to women’s historic role in the mission: The first missions to take humans to the moon were called the Apollo program, named after the Greek god of the sun. In Greek mythology, Apollo has a twin sister named Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon 🌜🌛

The Artemis II astronauts are the first humans to fly by the moon in more than 50 years and will serve as scientific ambassadors to our nearest neighbor. Today’s flyby has also broken the record set by Apollo 13 for the furthest any human has ever ventured from Earth into space 🌌

Koch’s historic flight signifies one giant leap in helping to close the gender gap for women in STEAM, and we’re thrilled that the next generation of girls pursuing their dreams of space exploration don’t just have to shoot for the stars—they can shoot for the moon now, too 🌕

Christina Koch is ready to make history. Koch is one of the four astronauts of Artemis 2, which is scheduled to launch on its round-the-moon mission no earlier than April 1. During her career as a NASA astronaut, she has spent more than 300 days aboard the International Space Station, and she performed the first all-woman spacewalk with Jessica Meir.
