Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue

Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters. This ultimately grew into the non-profit Ace of Hearts.

Kari Whitman founded her non-profit Ace of Hearts in 2001 after her amazing American Bulldog "Ace" passed away. She had rescued Ace from death row at a shelter in 1990 and was immediately smitten! When he died, she channeled her grief and frustration into trying to save other shelter dogs like Ace and finding them loving homes.

We want to thank activists and entertainers like Rebecca Corry, Chelsea Handler, Spencer Pratt , Alicia Silverstone, Jo Koy, and Brad Pitt, who are increasingly making their voices heard and helping educate Angelinos on the importance of this issue. No matter where you stand politically, we all need to work together to make sure helpless animals are not forgotten and that we never stop fighting to do what is right.

When it comes time to vote this November and beyond, remember how little our elected officials have done to stop this crisis, and how urgent it is for us to demand better for this city. Please donate, share, and follow for more information on how you can have a positive impact on a dog’s life. Together, we can save the animals of Los Angeles. ❤️🐾
