Our team is honored to announce that our previous fundraising events have turned into a strong partnership, and our organization, Angels of Ukraine, continues to grow.

As part of this development, we are proud to welcome a new team member, Dmytro Doroshchuk , who has joined our mission and team.

We are committed to strong teamwork, community engagement, and creating positive opportunities for children and young athletes in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County.

This partnership marks an important step forward in strengthening our sports and community programs, and we are excited for what we will build together moving ahead.

Our CFO visited the districts where we live, and it was a meaningful and important meeting. It matters so much to show elected officials how many Ukrainians live in their districts and to discuss the issues that matter most to our community.

We continue organizing events, supporting one another, and standing strong together. But it is impossible to live without pain while our friends and relatives are still in war zones, while children have been abducted from the cities we come from, and while families continue to suffer because of this war.

That is why it is so important for lawmakers to sign bills, strengthen sanctions, and support actions that can help bring peace. Without Congressional approval, progress cannot move forward.

Thank you for having us at the offices of California’s 27th District and California’s 29th District . We appreciate the opportunity to meet, share our voices, and discuss the issues that matter most to our community.We will keep raising our voices, sharing our stories, and advocating for justice, peace, and the future our people deserve.

Nice to know that Ukrainian National Women’s League of America was one of the initiators of creating the American Coalition for Ukraine , Svitlana been part of for many years and now we proud to have her as CFO of our non profit organization Angels of Ukraine .

The League is a powerful force that has preserved Ukrainian identity for decades, while advancing education, culture, and building a strong community in the United States. It is an organization that develops leaders and unites people around meaningful values and actions in support of Ukraine.

Special respect to coalition leaders such as Marianna Tretiak , who today bring organizations together and strengthen Ukraine’s voice at the national level .

Today April 22nd, 2026 Svitlana together with had a meeting with Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff

“My name is Svitlana Veljanovski. I represent Angels of Ukraine in California.

I want to thank Senator Schiff’s office and Chloe Goodman for helping extend Temporary Protected Status for a war-disabled Ukrainian veteran. This support helped save a life.”

Svitlana raised critical issues:

— Medical coverage is not adapted for severe conditions. Plans like Molina do not work for refugees in life-threatening situations. It took 6 months and support from multiple organizations to access care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center .

— Affordable housing is not accessible. In some cases, up to 5 elderly refugees are forced to live in a one-bedroom apartment for years.

After the meeting, many people thanked Svitlana — these issues are rarely voiced.

We were advised to continue this work at the local district level.

April 21,2026. Two more congressional offices were visited by Svitlana together with CA delegates .

In every office, Svitlana spoke on behalf of all Ukrainian mothers —mothers who lost their sons and daughters,mothers of war-disabled veterans,and mothers still waiting for their children to return home alive.

We, the mothers of Ukraine’s defenders, understand the cost.Our children have died, been wounded, and continue to fight for safety, liberty, democracy, and freedom — the same values the United States stands for.
We ask members of Congress and Senators to hear us and to act — to strengthen sanctions against Russia and use their full authority and integrity to support Ukraine.

One decision can mean life or death for civilians and defenders.

We also ask for help in returning more than 20,000 Ukrainian children who were taken and are now being held in camps in Russia, where they are being militarized against their own country.

Please hear us and stand with Ukraine.

Сьогодні, 21 квітня 2026 року, розпочала роботу із сенаторами та конгресменами у Вашингтоні.

Наша Світлана вже відвідала два офіси Конгресу:
(District 19) та (District 31).

Більше ніж 700 учасників із усіх 50 штатів США та Пуерто-Рико зібралися у Вашингтоні на 8-му Ukraine Action Summit. Сьогодні делегати проводять зустрічі з офісами Конгресу, здійснюють адвокаційну роботу та виступають на підтримку України.

Щиро дякуємо всім організаторам, делегатам та команді advocacy, лідеру за важливу роботу, відданість справі та можливість бути частиною цієї місії.

I am so excited to share that our nonprofit organization, Angels of Ukraine, has partnered with an amazing local church in Santa Clarita, Grand Central Collective , led by Pastor Darrell. Together, we teamed up to create a special holiday for Ukrainian children.

We are also grateful to the California Highway Patrol for their generous donation

This is just the beginning — many more wonderful initiatives are coming soon with our new partners at Grand Central Collective.
