🎶 The Broken Record Must Stop Playing 🎵
Day 1 of 30 – A Soulful Shift Toward Economic Equity

At In the Mix, Inc., we’ve heard the broken record too many times.
“We can’t find Black-owned businesses.”
“There aren’t enough ready suppliers.”
“There’s not enough support.”
Enough.

We’re not just creating an event—we’re changing the station.
MO’Town Bingo is our strategic remix. A soulful, game-based, business-centered experience designed to fuse culture, commerce, and community into one unforgettable celebration of Black brilliance.

🗓️ Today marks 30 days until we bring this rhythm to the Black Business Association’s Black Business Day Expo at Early College Academy-LA Trade Tech College
More than a countdown—it’s a call-up.

We’re shining a spotlight on the unstoppable energy, talent, and entrepreneurial spirit of our Black business ecosystem. Powered by our 5 MOs Framework, we’re focused on:

✅ MO’ Capital
✅ MO’ Systems
✅ MO’ Visibility
✅ MO’ Energy
✅ MO’ Direction

This is where conversations create contracts and build communities.
Where game night becomes a gateway.
Where economic power meets cultural joy.

🔥 Now featured on LA2050: Reclaim Well Home – A Resilience Design Project

We are humbled and proud to share that In the Mix has been selected as one of this year’s featured changemakers on the LA2050 platform—honoring projects that are leading Los Angeles toward a more just, resilient, and restorative future.

Our work, the Reclaim Well Home: Resilience Design Project, was born from fire—literally and figuratively. It is a direct response to the devastation so many have faced in the wake of natural disasters, particularly wildfires that have not only taken homes but uprooted lives and fractured a sense of safety, identity, and belonging.

This project is about far more than rebuilding.
It’s about reclaiming the self—
Restoring emotional grounding,
Redesigning what “home” means,
And creating spaces that hold people through their healing.

💕 At the heart of this work is a belief that wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s a right. And the environments we live in can either deepen our trauma or become tools for our transformation.

One of the ways we do this is through color therapy and therapeutic art integration. Every Reclaimed Well Home incorporates trauma-informed design strategies—intentional use of color palettes that calm the nervous system, inspire hope, and restore emotional balance. We also work with local artists and survivors to co-create visual elements and textures that reflect their stories, strength, and resilience.

From restorative hues of soft blues and earth tones to wall features that invite reflection and joy, these spaces are designed to heal from the inside out.

Ronda Jackson, CID NCIDQ (LION) , founder and visionary behind the project, shares:

“A Reclaimed Well Home is not just a roof and four walls—it’s a sanctuary. It’s where grief can soften, breath can return, and strength can take root again. This is about designing spaces that help people feel whole.”

While sustainability is thoughtfully woven into our approach, our core mission centers on healing people—emotionally, mentally, spiritually. We design with intention, care, and deep respect for the human experience of loss, and the power of place in the journey to recovery.

🌱 Being featured on LA2050 is an affirmation of this vision. We’re honored to stand alongside so many bold and beautiful projects making real change across Los Angeles.
