Over the past week and a half members of the Advanced Theatre competed in the District and Regional MIFA One Act Theatre competitions.

They presented the docudrama, “Orphan Trains”, by Deborah Craig.

On Saturday, January 31 the production came in 1st place in the regional competition that was held at Henry Ford II in Utica.

The cast/crew earned an average score of 95 out of a possible 100 points.

The state competition will occur on February 13 & 14 at St. John’s High School. This will be a chance for students to compete for a chance to repeat our state championship title of 2025. Congratulations to John Rutherford, Stephen Carpenter, and our Groves Advanced Theatre students on this amazing achievement!
