The Beulah Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic and commercial progress of our community. There are two primary functions of a Chamber of Commerce: (1) it acts as spokesperson for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members,
and (2) it renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization both to its members and to the community as a whole. To promote a better understanding of the nation’s private enterprise system.
2. To coordinate the efforts of commerce, industry and the professions in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate in the Beulah area.
3. To sponsor aggressive programs of work and stimulate activities that will provide for full development and employment of our human and economic resources.
4. To provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and in initiating constructive community action.
5. To create a broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in the Beulah area, and to promote the advantages and assets of our community within the area, in the state and in the world. Board of Directors:
The Board of Directors is the policymaking body of the Beulah Chamber of Commerce. Its members represent the business and professional leadership of the community. The board consists of 13 members. Directors serve for a three-year term. Elections are held at our November membership meeting. Committees:
A committee system is the most effective means of harnessing energies and abilities of volunteer workers. Committees are responsible to the Board of Directors. Why should you join the Chamber? Networking
Networking at Chamber events helps you meet potential customers, clients and vendors. The Membership Mixers provide great opportunities to get to know new people - and expand your prospect base. The Beulah Chamber of Commerce holds a number of membership meetings and social events throughout the year. We have our Annual Meeting in January, the Chamber Steak Fry in August, the Fish Fry in September and a Christmas Social in December, providing many business-to-business networking opportunities. Referrals
Calls to the Chamber office for business information are referred only to Chamber Members. Chamber membership brings a lot of credibility and distinction to a business. Inquiries to the Chamber office about the membership status of a particular business by outside agents, prospective customers or clients result in a range of impressions left by the answers: “No, they are not a Chamber Member” or “Yes, they are a Chamber Member”. In Beulah, the Chamber of Commerce is one organization that does make a difference. Our Chamber does not fit into the norm of what a big city Chamber does. Traditionally, Chambers are strictly a business organization, promoting their business and little else. The Beulah Chamber participates in a variety of community based activities from Spring Clean-up, the Community Steak Fry & Fish Fry, to organizing one of the best fishing tournaments in the state, we man the ticket booth at the Mercer County Fair and organize the parade and we run one of the biggest Big Buck contests around. Your Chamber does all this and more. How Does the Chamber Do All that We Do? The Beulah Chamber of Commerce is financed primarily by the investment of its members. Membership in your Chamber of Commerce is an investment in the future of your community. Progressive business and professional firms are committed to the growth of the Beulah area.
