Shoutout to our 12U Peters AA squad for battling their way to a 2nd place finish at the Hitfest at Hitmen Fields! 💪⚾️
This marks their 5th runner-up finish this season — consistency, grit, and always in the fight! 👏
This crew was absolutely DEALING in pool play, allowing only 3 total runs — talk about lockdown defense and lights-out pitching!
And we can’t forget the power at the plate… 💣
👏 Huge congrats to Riley P for crushing 2 HOME RUNS in Saturday’s games!

💚 Vipers Family 💚
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder, Shawn McKim, who went home to be with the Lord yesterday.
Shawn built the Eastern Iowa Vipers on more than baseball. He believed in faith, family, and giving kids a place to grow not only as athletes, but as young men and women surrounded by love, character, and support. His vision created a true family atmosphere one that has shaped this organization for 11 incredible years.
Shawn’s faith guided the way he led, coached, and cared for others. His legacy will live on in every player who steps onto the field, every lesson taught beyond the game, and every family forever changed by his heart.
We lift Shawn’s family in prayer and stand beside them with love, gratitude, and unwavering support.

Today we ask our entire Vipers community to keep our Founder, Shawn McKim, and his family in your prayers. Shawn is currently facing serious health challenges, and our hearts are with him and those closest to him during this difficult time.
Shawn started the Eastern Iowa Vipers with one simple but powerful vision: to give kids a place to learn the game of baseball, develop strong skills, and grow in a true family atmosphere. That vision has shaped who we are and has given us 11 incredible years of memories, growth, and community.
We stand beside Shawn and his family with love, gratitude, and unwavering support. Thank you, Shawn, for everything you have built and for the impact you’ve made on so many lives.

Our 12u Peters team took home 2nd place in CIS Halloween Bash today. Playing 3 games in a row. Keep it up boys!

Runner up in Des Moines at the Halloween Bash! It was a cold one.

Game one Vipers were down the whole game and pulled off the win in the last inning thanks to a 2 run RBI double from Jet Grafft. Vipers win 8-7

Game 2 was a dominating pitching performance from Riley Peters. 4IP 1 hit 0 ER
Vipers win 9-1

Championship game we just could find the strike zone. Vipers pitchers walked 12. Lost 15-9
