Our Story

Our sweet baby Beckett, was born on September 2, 2017, the same day that the University of Iowa Hawkeye football team and crowd initiated their famous "Wave" for the patients and their families in the Stead Family Children's Hospital. Shortly after birth, Beckett was diagnosed with partial Trisomy 14 and partial Trisomy 16, which created many medical battles for him and challenges for him and his family. He is the only documented case of this exact chromosomal mutation in the world. Beckett spent five of his six months in the University of Iowa Hospitals, where his family was always by his side. Beckett was loved by everyone who came into his world. His cuddles, his curly hair and his adorable smile was more than enough to melt anyone’s heart. Beckett earned his wings on March 10th, 2018. Although he has left our world, we will never forget our little fighter.
