Egg Drop Day at Riverdale Heights! Scouts used up to seven recyclables to pad their eggs for a 50’ drop! 🥚 Thank you so much to the Riverdale Fire Department for spending some of their afternoon with us! Seven eggs survived! 🥳🥳🥳

A special thank you to Bettendorf Police Department and Officer Doty for helping our Bears complete their Forensics badge last week.

They learned about fingerprints, shoe prints, collecting evidence, and more.

Meet Ernest the Merit Badger!

We’re excited to introduce Ernest, the Illowa Council’s brand‑new mascot! Ernest the Merit Badger is here to celebrate all the fun, adventure, and character‑building that Scouting has to offer.
You’ll start seeing Ernest popping up at council events, visiting activities across Illowa, and sharing stories that highlight the excitement, friendships, and unforgettable experiences found in Scouting. From outdoor adventures to earning merit badges and everything in between, Ernest can’t wait to cheer on our Scouts and leaders!

Keep an eye out for Ernest at upcoming events—and be sure to say hello when you see him out and about spreading the Scouting spirit!

Congratulations to Riverdale Elementary PTA for renewing Cub Scout Pack 24 in Riverdale, Iowa. They have an original charter date of 1974! Thank you for supporting the Scouting program for the past 51 years!

This full trunk is from our scouts, Pack 24! We are so proud of your hard work handing out fliers one weekend and then collecting food the next. was a success! 💙💛

After the government shutdown strained food banks, Quad Cities Girl Scouts and Scouting America collected donations in the first Scouting for Food drive in 10 years.
