A few days ago, Nassau County SPCA volunteers and our Humane Law Enforcement Officers entered a home in hazmat suits to rescue over 100 cats and 2 dogs from horrendous living conditions. The numbers continue to grow as animals that were in hiding are trapped from this hoarding situation. In collaboration with Cove Animal Rescue and the Glen Cove Mayor’s Office, we are housing these animals and getting them much needed medical attention. We appreciate the outpouring of support for the entire team - all with one mission - doing what's best for these animals. We thank the Nassau DA for their support during this rescue mission. We would like to thank the veterinary teams VCA Westbury Animal hospital and New Hyde Park Animal Hospital for their expert care. We would also like to thank our volunteers that did the footwork rescuing these animals and for their tireless efforts cleaning up after and caring for these animals. Remember ZeZe? The outdoor cat that was attacked repetitively and once rehabilitated showed that he is the sweetest feline you could ever find. Well, ZeZe has been adopted! He has new children in his life that he adores and has proven to be very respectful to his new senior kitty sister. We are so grateful to his veterinary team, foster family and adopters for making this new chapter in life a reality.

We are so grateful to for planning a fun night to benefit our rescues. Thank you to everyone that came out to support the NCSPCA and helped raise $700 for animals in need. We appreciate when our community joins us to serve as the voice for the voiceless.
