Bethpage Troop 604 completed requirements for their Railroad Merit Badge. Part of the merit badge requirement is to learn about railroad operations and railroad equipment. Scouts received a tour of the New York and Atlantic Railroad’s Fresh Pond Yard and Service Facility. Scouts also attend many community events helping to educate youth about railroad safety and Operation Life Saver.
