NCC Climate Action Network

NCC Climate Action Network NCC's club with a focus on climate & environmental action, and a safe, sustainable future for all. We meet every Thursday in Penn 126 at 11am

We are NCC Climate Action Network at Northampton Community College. Our primary goal is to convince our administration to go FOSSIL FREE and choose alternative energy sources so that we can limit the impact of carbon on our climate. This is our school, our world and this is our future and as students at NCC, we are the ones who need to convince our administration that this is something that they m

ust do. Besides our divestment goals we also raise awareness for environmental issues, sustainability and to help our community members achieve an overall greener and healthier life.

We are building a better community/society one community activism at a time. Last night was a perfect example of seeing a group of people who wanted to make a change for the better so they did something!
If you are interested check out the Facebook and Insta for future events and to get on their email list (Preservation Easton) Thank you to our club members and their advisors and friends for attending and seeing how the - if you don’t like it, then do something about it - can actually work.
Congratulations to Preservation Easton as they definitely packed the house at their inaugural meeting. Great things are happening in Easton.

We had a fantastic time at the Northampton County Festival this Saturday (5/16) representing our club and NCC. We met with some incredible people, heard some great stories and of course sampled all of the yummy food trucks deliciousness - maybe even too much. We marveled at all of the vendor offerings, and learned so much at the Informational tables.
CANers were able to share not just the amazing pastries made by two of our members (Jordan and Asher) but also our native plants and the wedge project, plus our vision for a better environment and community in Northampton County and beyond.
Thank you to Tina Smith for inviting us to attend
(Had to brighten up the first photo cause the sun was so strong you couldn’t see the CANers otherwise)
