Are you a member of the Trans/Gender-Expansive Community? If so, you are invited to Eastern PA Trans Equity Project’s Annual Trans Pride Picnic on Sunday, July 7th from 11am-2pm at Covered Bridge Park in Allentown. Come out and celebrate Trans Joy with music, food, fun, games, and art!
You will even be able to contribute to an art piece that will be featured in Washington, DC next March. Inspired by the National Aids Quilt, 258 6’x6’ art pieces will be arranged to on the National Mall to spell out “Freedom To Be” on the National Mall and each 6 ft x 6 ft panel will be decorated by trans folks LIKE YOU!!
In addition to the art piece project, we will have co****le, bocce, board games, rock painting activities and – best of all – a celebration of our Community. We will also be recognizing our volunteers of the year plus, the first 50 people will get a Pride goodie bag!
As always, we will be providing the burgers and dogs including meatless options. We kindly ask that you bring a dish to pass if you are able. Please RSVP so we know how much food to buy.
