Our 6th grade 12U boys closed out their Spring 2026 AAU/travel tournament basketball season at the Love Day Hoops Lehigh Valley Spring Classic last weekend winning their 7th tournament (out of 8 total) and with a record of 24-2 ‼️🔥🏀. They beat teams on circuits, teams coached by former NBA players, teams sponsored by current NBA players, and older teams when they played up in 7th grade divisions. They proved hard work pays off — often practicing 3-4 nights per week this spring 💪. They also had so much fun together - team sleepovers at Coach Thomson’s, team pool party at Coach Thomas’, pizza parties, team dinners, car rides, etc. among so many other things. Next up - playing up in summer league. 👀 🧡🩵🏀 Forged in Lehigh Valley. Built with Steel.

🏆 Championship #6.

Another weekend. Another opportunity to compete.

LV Steel 12U went undefeated this weekend in a combined 6th/7th grade division, bringing home our 6th tournament championship of the spring getting the win over PA Flight 47-34 in the final.

With several players unavailable, two talented 7th graders — Eddie and Joey — joined our group for a few games this weekend. From the first game, they fit right into the culture of this team: unselfish basketball, great attitudes, hard work, and putting the team first.

What continues to make this group special isn’t just the wins.

It’s the way they play:

🏀 Defending together
🏀 Celebrating each other’s success
🏀 Putting the team above individual accomplishments

Seven tournaments into the spring, these boys continue to prove that great team basketball can compete with anyone.

And perhaps most impressive of all, this group remains focused on getting better each week.

More than teammates. These boys have built a real bond.

First official team sleepover at Coach Thomson’s house last night… 9 twelve-year-old boys, nonstop laughing, gaming, basketball talk, snacks everywhere, and maybe… MAYBE… a little bit of sleep. 😂

What makes this group special goes way beyond wins and championships. They genuinely love being around each other. The chemistry you see on the court comes from the friendships being built off the court.

And the results on the court are showing it:
