HELP BINX AVOID A CAT-ASTROPHE! 🐈‍⬛
Gorgeous Binx from New Jersey has had two scary, life-threatening urinary blockages. Each episode, Binx was hospitalized, and a urinary catheter was placed to flush out the obstruction.

He was treated with intravenous fluids to flush the urinary obstruction out. Urinary blockages in cats occur when the urethra—the narrow tube that carries urine from the bladder—becomes obstructed by mineral crystals, stones, or thick mucus plugs.

His veterinarian has recommended Perineal urethrostomy surgery. A surgical method for alleviating urethral obstruction in cats with complicated or recurrent obstructive feline lower urinary tract disease. This surgery will permanently eliminate the risk of another obstruction. 🙏

The surgery has been estimated at between $2,000.00-$2,500.00. However, Binx’s mom has exhausted her financial resources on Binx's two emergency 🚑hospitalizations. She said, “Binx is a fun-loving cat who needs a little extra help. He needs a PU surgery to survive. My family loves him so much. I don’t have any more funds. I just want to help him as best I can.”

Binx is only 1 1/2 years old. This surgery will SAVE Oreo's best furry friend's life! 😽

MAYBELLE STILL NEEDS HELP! 🙏
Sweet little Maybelle from Minnesota was diagnosed with Stage 4 periodontal disease, which is the most severe and irreversible phase of periodontal disease, defined by 50% or more bone loss. 🙀

It is too painful for Maybelle to eat. Her elderly mom has been making Maybelle's food into soup and spoon-feeding her. Maybelle needs advanced dental surgery to remove her loose and diseased teeth.

The surgery has been estimated at $1,565.74; however, her mom can not afford it, living on $986.00 a month in social security income, and it is breaking her heart to see her sweet girl in pain. 💔

This sweet little pup is her mom’s entire world. Maybelle's mom is disabled, and Maybelle and her furry friend help ease loneliness by providing structure and a daily routine. The bond itself actively reduces stress and promotes a vital sense of purpose.

We have raised 47% so far for Maybelle's upcoming surgery. Please help Maybelle eat pain-free and extend her quality of life. Even $5.00 will help! Please donate here: https://on.ftloa.org/4nVMfBW

CHONG WAYNE'S LIFE WAS CHANGED FUREVER! 😻
We helped Chong Wayne from Minnesota with the cost of his surgery to remove his painful, diseased eyes. Wayne had permanently lost his sight due to glaucoma, which caused a dangerous buildup of intraocular pressure. This surgery immediately relieved him from pain, and he will experience a much better quality of life now that the pain is gone! 🙌

His mom said, “He hasn't left my recliner! He came home, ate, and used the litter box, and has been in my chair since. I am so incredibly grateful for this charity’s help. Thank you so very much!”

Wayne will have a post-surgical check-up and suture removal 10 days post-surgery. We will have more updates on this handsome boy soon. Thank you to our incredible supporters for giving Wayne a new lease on life, pain-free! 😽

A TRIP TO THE DOG PARK TURNED DEADLY! 🙀
Rebel from Louisiana was extremely sick; she was vomiting, had explosive diarrhea, was not eating or drinking, and was very lethargic. Rebel was so weak that she could barely lift her head. Time was of the essence to get Rebel emergency veterinary care.

Rebel's dad is low-income, and could only afford the exam fee, a f***l test, and bloodwork, which showed Rebel was severely anemic, confirming that Rebel had Parvovirus. Parvovirus in dogs, commonly referred to as parvo, is a severe, highly contagious, and life-threatening viral condition. If left untreated, it is fatal. 💔

Parvovirus is preventable, with a vaccine; however, Rebel had only received her 1st set of puppy vaccinations, which made her more vulnerable to the virus. Rebel needed to be hospitalized and treated, which was estimated at between $2,800-3,500.00, depending on how she responded to treatment.

Rebel’s dad reached out to us for help. Rebel was hospitalized for 4 days. She was treated with IV fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea medications, and was administered the Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA), which studies have shown to be 100% effective in preventing mortality if administered early.

Rebel made a miraculous recovery and is home and doing well. Rebel’s life was saved because of generous donations made to our “Unleash Your Love For Dogs” fundraiser.

SHE-RA IS DOING PAWSOME! 😻
We helped She-Ra from Washington State with the cost of her surgery on Thursday to remove a mass on her thyroid. A pre-surgical exam showed she had a small growth on her elbow, and it was decided to remove that at the same time.

The mass in her neck was infiltrating the muscle, and the surgeon took out as much as possible within the muscle while leaving enough to be functional. The surgeon believes the mass is an infiltrative lipoma, an uncommon, benign (non-cancerous) fatty tumor that behaves aggressively at the local level. It was sent to a pathologist for analysis.

She-Ra is home and doing well. Her mom said, “She is getting lots of snuggles, she’s doing good. The first day was harder, but she’s okay now being crated.” She-Ra will have a check-up and the bandage removed 5 days post-op. We will have more updates soon!

She-Ra's urgent and expensive veterinary care was paid 100% from donations. Thank you to our donors for making this life-saving surgery happen! 😽

IT'S TOO PAINFUL FOR MAYBELLE TO EAT! 🐶
Sweet little Maybelle from Minnesota was not eating; she was drooling a lot and pawing at her mouth. Her mom took her to her local veterinary clinic, and Maybelle was diagnosed with Stage 4 periodontal disease (advanced periodontitis), which is the most severe and irreversible phase of periodontal disease, defined by 50% or more bone loss. 🙀

It is a serious systemic health issue causing immense chronic pain, loose teeth, and deep bacterial infections that can spread to the heart, liver, and kidneys. Maybelle’s veterinarian has recommended removing most of her diseased teeth.

The surgery has been estimated at $1,565.74; however, her elderly mom can not afford it. She said, “My aunt died 2 years ago, she was feeding her mostly scraps, and cat food. Maybelle was not taken care of; she needs most of her teeth out. She is so spoiled now that I literally have to feed her with a spoon lol, but I love her so much. I live off $986.00 social security. I am handicapped, and after paying my rent and necessities, I cannot afford to help Maybelle. I truly hope you can help with her dental.” 🙏

This sweet little pup is her mom’s entire world. Maybelle and her furry friend help ease loneliness by providing structure and a daily routine. The bond itself actively reduces stress and promotes a vital sense of purpose.

Please help Maybelle enjoy pain-free eating again and extend her quality of life. Donate here: https://on.ftloa.org/4nVMfBW or mail a check to FTLOA, PO Box 4457, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

KERBY WAS SHOT! 😡
Kerby's mom rushed him to the Emergency Veterinary hospital. X-rays showed the bullet had shattered his left back leg, and it is lodged in his right upper leg muscle.

Bloodwork showed Kerby is severely anemic and not eligible for surgery until his red blood cell count improves. Kerby had a high fever and was treated with IV fluids and a B12 injection. He was sent home with pain medications, antibiotics, and immune-boosting supplements.

Kerby has a recheck bloodwork appointment on Friday, and hopefully, his red blood cell count has improved, so he can have surgery to amputate his leg and remove the bullet. The surgery has been estimated between $1,375.00 - $1,675.00.

His mom has already spent over $700.00 on Kerby’s emergency veterinary care and can not afford it. She said, “Everything is getting so expensive. There used to be extra money to save. Now I pay bills, buy food, and there is very little left for extras. Kerby's vet bill from last week emptied my bank account.”

What happened to Kerby is not only heartbreaking 💔 but shocking that someone could do this to an innocent animal! Kerby is the second kitty we have helped that has been shot in just a few weeks.

Kerby was a semi-feral abandoned cat, but his furever mom has slowly been gaining his trust. Since the incident, he has adjusted well to being an indoor kitty. This handsome boy deserves a second chance at life and somewhere he can call home.

Please help Kerby here: https://on.ftloa.org/4u8FsGy or mail a check to FTLOA, PO Box 4457, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
