🚧 Construction continues at Dutko Park! 🚧

🛝The equipment for a new playground has been installed.

🚏A new street facing bench can be found near the bus stop at Pembroke & Jennings WB. More improvements are underway at the EBS locations along Stefko, including bus shelters!

🌳In the park, crews are working to pave the pathways throughout the grounds. You may also notice some bright new benches & checker tables!!

What's going on at Dutko Park?

An exciting change is underway for the neighborhood. We heard the community loud and clear: Stefko is a dangerous place to walk, play and wait for the bus. The Pembroke Choice Neighborhood Early Action Project to enhance placemaking, walkability and transit stops at Dutko Park has begun. 🎉

🙌Residents can expect to see new pathways throughout the park and new benches, checker tables, and a small activity space.

🚦Recently, the pedestrian crossing signals have been updated to a newer model that includes a walk symbol & raised hand as visuals to the pedestrian.

🚌As part of this Early Action Project, LANTA intends to install bus shelter infrastructure eastbound and westbound at Stefko Boulevard and Washington Avenue - a main route along the Enhanced Bus Service (EBS) system.

The project is expected to be completed early this summer. Stay tuned for a celebration in the park once work is complete!
