The SVC lost another devoted and dedicated member, former board member, author, and friend on Sunday, October 1. Lee Weidner is resting with his Father in heaven. The SVC is grateful for all the hours Lee volunteered in the gift shop, where he had the opportunity to interview residents of Lower Saucon Township and publish their oral histories in his books Saucon Source and Saucon Secrets II. He will be dearly missed.

The Saucon Valley Conservancy is mourning the loss of a dear friend and volunteer, Donna Natterman. Donna managed the docent program and created and sewed many of the costumes worn. She trained and supervised the docents, most being high school students from Saucon Valley High School. She attended nearly every major event, never missing an opportunity for the docents to provide tours of the Heller House and Widow's House. To say she will be missed is an understatement, as no one can fill her shoes or smile as bright. Heaven surely gained an angel on September 11th, and no doubt, she is already sewing and embellishing her angel wings. "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)
