BETHLEHEM RESIDENTS - WE NEED YOUR HELP

Stand in asking for transparency, presentation of the complete Fire and EMS study, and a public presentation by the experts who conducted it. You paid for it. You deserve the full picture.

Join us at the Public Safety Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 20, at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

We are asking the City to:

• Release the complete report before the meeting, giving residents, firefighters, and EMS personnel time to review it.
• Have the Center for Public Safety Management (CPSM) present its full findings and recommendations and answer questions.
• Present the City’s response separately, so everyone can clearly distinguish the independent recommendations from the administration’s proposed actions.

These decisions affect station coverage, budgeted staffing, apparatus, equipment, and the safety of our residents and first responders. Responsible spending matters, and so does ensuring our emergency services have the people and resources to protect this community.

The public deserves to understand all of the study’s recommendations, including those the City may choose not to pursue. Access to the complete report allows everyone to evaluate those decisions for themselves.

Attend. Bring a neighbor. Help us make sure Bethlehem’s public safety gets the thorough, transparent discussion it deserves.

Local 735 members have been preparing to participate in The Climb Bethlehem this Friday, September 11th. This event means a great deal for honoring the service, memory, courage, and sacrifice of so many on that day 25 years ago.

Even if you cannot participate in this event, any donation or support given to Tunnel to Towers Foundation is monumental to giving back to those who gave so much.

Happy Labor Day from Bethlehem Firefighters IAFF Local 735!

Today, we honor America’s working men and women and thank the generations of union members who stood together and sacrificed for fair wages, safer workplaces, benefits, reasonable hours, and a voice on the job.

The progress we enjoy was not simply given, it was fought for and earned through solidarity. May we continue advocating for the well-being of our residents and our members, educating those who have lost sight of why organized labor matters, and carrying forward the work of those who came before us.

Proud to be 100% Union! 🚒🇺🇸 #100%UNION
