Hired in 2004, Brother Falco has been a dedicated member of the Bethlehem Fire Department and IAFF Local 735. He took on many responsibilities from the Bomb Team to where he ended as bid operator of Ladder 1. He was a key member of 2nd Platoon (especially at Company 1 Southside), and an amazing role model for the 28 members hired in the last 3 years.

President Jimenez and Vice President Paulus are proud to represent Bethlehem Firefighters IAFF Local 735 at the 58th Biennial IAFF Convention in Arlington, Texas.

This convention is about standing together, strengthening our union, and ensuring firefighters have a strong voice at every level. We will never stop advocating for our members, their families, and the communities we proudly serve.

At our last monthly meeting for Local 735, we proudly swore in 8 new union members: Brandon Shanley, Ryan Cooney, Sandor Paar Jr., Jason Peters, Kyle Pochek, Collin Seip, Jason Spiegelman, and Nick Wassa. Please join us in welcoming these new members to the Local. May they strive to continue to greaten the foundation that was laid for them by the active and retired brothers and sisters.

THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED

Thank you to everyone from the City and Local 735 who helped bring these important cancer screenings to our active members.

Special thanks to the Local 735 Grants Committee for developing the grant narratives, our fellow Locals throughout the IAFF Fourth District who assisted us, the IAFF Grants Department for their guidance, and United Diagnostic Services (UDS) for partnering with us.

Cancer screenings for firefighters should be mandatory. Until that happens, we are grateful these grants are available to provide our members with the testing they deserve.

Early detection matters. Taking care of our firefighters matters. 🚒🇺🇸

☣️ HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENT MITIGATED ☣️

Earlier today, members were dispatched to the 100 block of East Morton Street for an incident involving improperly discarded laboratory chemicals after an unexpected chemical reaction occurred. As the complexity of the incident became apparent, the response was upgraded to include a callout of off-duty Bethlehem Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team members.

The incident required multiple Hazardous Materials entry teams to conduct hazard assessments, perform reconnaissance, safely secure chemical containers, and assist in mitigating the incident. Through the coordinated efforts of our members, the situation was successfully stabilized. We would also like to thank our Paramedics and Police for their support throughout the incident.

Incidents of this nature underscore the importance of maintaining highly trained personnel capable of responding to complex and unpredictable emergencies. They also reflect the dedication of our members, who answer the call whenever additional resources are needed. 🚒🇺🇸

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, sacrifice, and the ideals that make this country great.

As firefighters, we are proud to serve a community built on those values and to stand ready whenever our neighbors call for help.

Congratulations to the brothers and sisters of Lancaster Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 319 and to the leadership of Lancaster for working together to make their city safer for both the community and the firefighters who serve it every day.
