This is very exciting!! I am very happy to see the city seriously looking into alternative energy sources. Not only to save fossil fuels or stop wars over oil, but potentially to be one of the fully off-grid cities in the world. Could you imagine living in a city where the infrastructure is established to provide no cost, renewable energy, rain water collection, green roof implementation, I believe that would be an extraordinary place to be.

Riddle me this .. could that make Allentown an even better mini-metroplis than it already is?? I may take that bet!!!

We’re developing a self-sustaining community designed to help end homelessness—right here in the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton area.

✅ Community built 'tiny' off-grid homes utilizing repurposed materials
✅ Self-sufficient and self-sustaining holistic, therapeutic, skill building community powered by renewable energy
✅ On-site food growth and animal husbandry, job training & trauma-responsive support (Schema therapy model)
✅ A path to independence, dignity & belonging
