🩶🦫💙This week we are celebrating the NCAC Silver Beaver Class Of 2026! An extraordinary group of volunteers recognized not just for their impact in Scouting, but for their dedication to youth, service, and community.

The Silver Beaver Award, first presented in 1931, is one of Scouting’s highest honors at the council level -- awarded to only about one in every 1,000 volunteers.

It recognizes the whole person: their leadership in Scouting, contributions beyond the program, and lasting commitment to serving others.

👏 Congratulations to the NCAC Silver Beaver Class Of 2026:
Lee Ackiss, Greg Auld, Morgan Bentley, Derek Geary, Ray (Doug) Henry, Jason Huggins, Joseph Knecht, Lawrence Leone, Melinda McNally, Thuy Nguyen, Jack Olivia, Francis “Drac” Peyton, Steven Salaj, Andrea Schuetz, Hunter Shelley, Chris Simmons, Carlos Vallejo, Len Wales, Mark Wray ⭐ With Class Honoree Craig Weston

Some Thoughts on Scout Cellphone Policies

What is your unit's cellphone policy? Does it take into account other devices such as smartwatches, tablets, laptops, etc.? For some factors to consider read the article at the link below.

With social media and rapidly advancing technology becoming more accessible, it’s not uncommon to see cellphones at Scout events. As members of the 2025-26 National Youth Council cohort, we were tasked with considering this issue.
