Arielle from Falls Church, Virginia, was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. With courage and a love for adventure, she wished to go on an African safari. 🌍 During their Tanzania adventures, Arielle and her family enjoyed a lush picnic in the park, visiting the Ngorongoro Conservatory, exploring the Serengeti, spending the night in the outdoor KasKaz Mara Camp, and seeing giraffes! 🦒

Now in high school, Arielle is a member of the Riverbend Fútbol Club (RBFC). ⚽ RBFC is a proud partner of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, uniting the power of sport with a mission to bring hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses.

Through this collaboration, RBFC is supporting Make-A-Wish’s efforts by creating unique, soccer-centered experiences for wish children and their families. 💙

At just five years old, Ella launched her own business, Earrings for Life, where she designs and sells handmade earrings. 💫 Even more inspiring—she donates 50% of all proceeds to Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic to help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses. Ella has donated more than $700 to support wish kids—an incredible milestone for a young entrepreneur with a big heart. 💖

Ella’s earrings are even featured in a local boutique, Wild Horses, located in Fulton, Maryland, giving her the chance to share her creations—and her mission—with even more people in the community.

Congratulations to our incredible Wish Alumni graduating as part of the Class of 2026! 🎓

We’re proud to celebrate wish alum Nate, whose wish to meet the Washington Capitals was granted when he was 14 years old. ✨ From becoming an honorary starter at a Capitals game to skating with Alexander Ovechkin, the experience left a lasting impact on his life.

Despite facing a heart condition and undergoing heart surgery at the beginning of his junior year, Nate has shown incredible strength and resilience. Today, he’s doing very well, has almost fully recovered, and just finished hockey season playing for his high school team and a local county team. 🏒

Nate will head to college to study Sports Management — a path inspired by Ovechkin and the unforgettable support he received from the Washington Capitals and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. 💫

Seven-year-old Jacob from Temple Hills, Maryland, has the sweetest smile and kindest heart! 💙 Jacob is bravely battling leukemia, but through it all, he continues to light up every room he enters. He loves Spider-Man and spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite things to do is visit waterparks, so a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect wish for him! ✨

Jacob and his family recently celebrated their wish sendoff with his amazing Wish-Granting Volunteers, and they are heading out on their wish trip this week! 🎉✈️

When Asher was diagnosed with cancer, his life became filled with hospital stays, treatments and missed moments at home with his two brothers. But through it all, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse brought him comfort during his toughest days. So, when it came time to choose his wish, Asher knew exactly what he wanted: to give Mickey Mouse a big hug. 🤗

Asher’s wish was more than just a joyful moment, it was a turning point in his medical journey.

"A wish is like the light at the end of the tunnel. It clears the fog and the exit becomes clear.” – Ing, wish mom 💙

Today, Asher is done with treatment and has graduated from preschool! 🌟🎓 Congratulations to Asher and to all our graduates this year!
