When Pharoah imagined his wish, he didn't ask for a faraway adventure.

He wished for something closer to home.

After years of hospital visits, surgeries and uncertainty, he wanted a place where he could play with his friends and family again.

Today, his custom backyard playground is filled with laughter, games and family memories.

"Now we have a way to create these bonds and memories that don't involve anything medical."

As the seasons change, we're reminded that some of life's sweetest moments happen right in our own backyard.

For Corbett, the greatest challenge wasn't understanding others. It was helping others understand him.

Because Corbett is non-speaking, he struggled to communicate with friends and family and often felt misunderstood. When asked what he wished for most, his answer was simple: he wanted the people he loved to understand him.

To grant his wish, “Camp Corbett” was created to help family and friends learn how to communicate with him using assistive technology and his unique communication style.

"I felt loved because my friends and family learned to talk with me."

When Norah's family dreamed about travel, they never imagined a trip beyond an hour from home would be possible.

Living with a nervous system disorder meant navigating mobility challenges and relying on specialized medical equipment. But when Norah's wish to visit Walt Disney World® Resort came true, her WishMakers helped coordinate every detail, including transporting the medical devices she depends on.

At , Norah experienced wheelchair-accessible attractions, colorful parades and sensory-filled adventures designed for every child to enjoy.

"To see her fully recognized in a world that usually isn't so accessible was emotional," said her mom, Tiffany.

This Disability Awareness Month, we're celebrating the power of wishes to create accessible experiences and remind families what's possible.

For 10 years, Fran has helped create life-changing wishes with heart, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to our mission. 💙

As a wish granter and office volunteer, Fran has shared countless meaningful moments with wish kids and their families, from wish discovery visits and celebrations to unforgettable wish reveals.

One moment that stands out? Presenting a wish kid with gifts before her trip to Alaska to see the aurora borealis and helping celebrate another child's superhero wish adventure. Through every wish journey, Fran brings joy, thoughtfulness, and connection.

As Fran shares: "The children and families at Make-A-Wish inspire me all the time, and I love bringing them joy and happiness throughout the whole wish process."

Fran's dedication extends beyond each wish. Whether creating personalized celebration signs, supporting our office team, or finding creative ways to engage local businesses, she continually goes above and beyond for wish kids and families.
