SCC Rehearsals Canceled Mon/Tues Oct. 29/30 due to Storm

Please, while you have power, visit the members-only Music Files page to download mp3s and music sheets, so you can keep on "singin' in the rain" even though we can't gather for rehearsals this week. Also, you have had MP3 files sent to you. Review those daily as we prepare for our Fall Concert. Call time on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 12 noon at Asbury Methodist Village (AMV) at the Rosborough Center for our first performance of this inaugural season! Concert Times: 1:30 p.m. (parents, 2 guests per child) 3:00pm (residents). Arrive at 11:45 a.m. or earlier if you are not familiar with AMV. Singers will receive their t-shirts when they check-in and should wear blue jeans and sneakers. Also, while you can, make note of our phone numbers in case you need to reach us but cannot get online.

Special Performance Dec. 6 at Strathmore

The Strathmore Children's Chorus is honored to be invited to accompany "fiddling dynamo" Natalie MacMaster on stage during her performance at the Music Center at Strathmore on Dec. 6, 2012. Ms. MacMaster's show, titled "Christmas in Cape Breton" will feature a medley of traditional carols and a small choir of children will be selected through audition from the Treble and Concert Chorus ensembles. Looking forward to a wonderful week of rehearsal with three ensembles starting the premier season of the Strathmore Childrens Chorus! The Treble Chorus will meet on Monday, September 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the Concert Chorus will meet on Tuesday, September 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and the Young Men's Chorus will have their first rehearsal on Tuesday, September 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
