Mother’s Day was celebrated! We inaugurated the artistic gift received from the IDB Group in honor of the Association’s 60th Anniversary: the etching Mama Donna.

The celebration continued with meditation, karaoke, and delicious food lovingly offered by the IDB Family Association in tribute to all mothers.

We wish all mothers a beautiful Mother’s day filled with love, joy, and appreciation.

We were honored to be invited by the IMF Family Association to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their Association.

In these photos, you can see colleagues from the World Bank, IMF, and IDB communities coming together in a beautiful spirit of friendship, volunteerism, and international community.

We are also excited as we look ahead to the Team Summer Program this summer, bringing together the children and families of our three communities once again.

El 2 de mayo nos reunimos en la National Portrait Gallery para una visita especial de arte con nuestra comunidad de la IDB Family Association.
Guiados por Ana Talonne de Howard University, exploramos el arte contemporáneo a través de perspectivas enriquecedoras que conectaron la cultura visual con la neurociencia, elevando la experiencia para todos.
Una breve introducción a la historia de la fotografía y a los materiales utilizados en sus inicios para revelar retratos hizo la experiencia aún más fascinante.
Gracias a todos los que participaron — incluso a un pequeño perrito 🐶 con sus padres — y a Sandra Berutto por coordinar este recorrido y capturar momentos tan hermosos con su lente.
Una comunidad que aprecia el arte crece y se eleva junta.

On May 2, we gathered at the National Portrait Gallery for a special art tour with our community from the IDB Family Association.
Guided by Ana Talonne from Howard University, we explored contemporary art through insightful perspectives that connected visual culture and neuroscience, elevating the experience for everyone involved.
A brief introduction to the history of photography and early materials used to reveal portraits made the experience even more fascinating.
Thank you to all who joined us — even a small puppy 🐶 with his parents — and to Sandra Berutto for coordinating this tour and capturing such beautiful moments through her lens.

On April 15, we had a wonderful mindfulness session at the IDB Family Association with Jade Kaplan, our volunteer and member of the meditation group.

We explored aspects of Buddhism and experienced a guided practice that invited us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the present moment. A beautiful and meaningful experience.

✨ The Frame – a celebration of art in community ✨

On April 9 at 5:30 pm, we experienced a truly special moment with the opening of The Frame.
For the first time, 11 artists from the IDB Family Association and 11 artists from the IDB Staff Association came together in a joint exhibition, showcasing 45 black-and-white photographs, the result of a creative journey guided by our dear friend, documentary filmmaker, and university professor, Carlos Morales.

Dreaming is beautiful. Dreaming together is even more powerful.

This project is proof that when we share vision, talent, and commitment, dreams become reality.

Our sincere thanks to Kai Hertz, Natalia, Catherine, Armando Justo (IDB Staff Association), and to each of the artists who made this project a true dream come true.

Her presentation included illustration of her own dog - Zeref - and covered communication, as well as the physical, mental, and emotional needs that contribute to a balanced life for pets.
