Sometimes impact looks like a box filled with care, comfort, and dignity. ๐Ÿ’œ

This year we launched MomCare boxes to mothers who needed a little extra support, and this feedback means a lot to us:

โ€œThey absolutely loved the packages and were so surprised to receive such a thoughtful gift. It was truly heartwarming to watch their reactions.โ€

A MomCare box is more than a gift. It is a reminder that someone cares. It is a small moment of comfort for moms who deserve to feel seen and supported.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this possible.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and it is a reminder that prevention matters.

For children spending time outside, sunscreen is a practical care item. But for families facing hardship, even basic prevention items can be difficult to afford.

That is why PCF includes sunscreen in our summer Care Packages.

This month, we are raising funds to purchase childrenโ€™s sunscreen for the kids we serve through local partner organizations.

You can help by donating or by joining us at Babycat Bethesda on Sunday, May 31, from 2โ€“4 PM.

The Personal Care Foundation is grateful to the members of Congress who have joined in support of H.R. 7367, the TANF Hygiene Access Act.

This bipartisan bill recognizes a basic need that is too often overlooked: access to hygiene products.

For families struggling to afford food, rent, transportation, and other essentials, items like soap, toothpaste, deodorant, menstrual products, diapers, laundry detergent, and shampoo can fall out of reach.

Hygiene access affects health, dignity, school, work, and economic stability, yet it is too often left out of basic needs conversations.

Thank you to Rep. Mike Lawler for introducing H.R. 7367, the TANF Hygiene Access Act, and for working with the Personal Care Foundation and other nonprofit partners to bring attention to the overlooked need for hygiene access.

We are also grateful to Congresswoman Sarah McBride , Rep Josh Gottheimer, Rep. Emily Randall , Congressman Dan Goldman, and Rep. Lucy McBath for joining in support of this important legislation.

The MCFJC is collecting old cell phones to help support survivors of domestic violence.

This is a meaningful way to put that old phone to use.

Please consider donating and sharing their post so more people see it. ๐Ÿ’œ

Did you know that abusers break victims' phones to further isolate them and/or use their devices to track all of their movements? Help us provide safe phones for victims of domestic violence. You can bring in any of your old phones and chargers to the Family Justice Center (tax deductible) and they will be wiped securely and given to victims to use.

Drop off your old phones and chargers at the Family Justice Center on 600 Jefferson Plaza Monday - Friday any time between 8:30am and 5pm.
