Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day believes children develop and learn through play in a nurturing and diverse community. We are a nonprofit provider of accredited early childhood education, before/after school, and summer camp with flexible programs, for children ages two months through sixth grade with nine programs in NW Washington, DC and Maryland.

✨ 📚First Friday Reader Spotlight 📚✨

Today, we welcomed two special guest readers - our very own Wonders educators!✨

Kyria Woodard, Program Director at Wonders Extended Day at Bethesda Elementary School, visited our Early Learning Program at Edgemoor and read “All the Water in the World” to the Dolphins classroom.

Eryn Mitchell, Program Director at Wonders Extended Day at Chevy Chase Elementary School, joined our Early Learning Program at Leland and read “Interrupting Chicken” to the Butterflies classroom.

These visits gave our early learners a chance to connect with educators they may see again as they transition to kindergarten, helping build familiarity and excitement for the next step in their educational journey.

We have some exciting news to share, Wonders is growing!🎉

We are thrilled to announce that Wonders will be joining the Garrison Elementary School community! Located in the heart of the Logan Circle/Shaw neighborhoods, Garrison educates children from PreK 3 to grade 5✨

We look forward to partnering with Garrison families and Garrison's leadership team to provide a fun and engaging Out of School Time program that complements classroom learning through creativity, exploration, and play.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Wonderspalooza! 🎉 It was a day full of fun, creativity, and community. With games, moonbounces, food trucks, face painting, airbrush tattoos, performances by Telitas & Tiritas, and a community mural led by Katie Macyshyn, the day was filled with smiles and so many special moments💛

A huge thank you to our staff, board members, parents, and volunteers who made this special event possible as we wrapped up our 50th Anniversary celebrations. Based on all the smiles, Wonderspalooza is here to stay as an annual tradition! ✨
